ITA K-12 Uniform Dress Code Policy
Shirts – K-12: collared shirts and blouses, turtlenecks, sweaters, and vests
Colors – K-12: Solid black, navy, white, or light blue
• Must be tucked in at all times.
• Tops must provide full coverage—no spaghetti straps, off-shoulder, mesh, tube, halter, low-cut styles, or exposed cleavage allowed.
• No see-through clothing. No undergarments are to be visible, including bra straps and underwear. Shirts should adequately cover the shoulders and back.
• No midriffs should show; shirts must be longer than the waistline of skirts, shorts, or pants.
• No hooded tops of any kind.
• Holes in shirts are not allowed.
• All clothing brands and designs with any unauthorized group symbols, profanity, gestures or signs are prohibited.
Pants/Shorts/Skirts/Dresses K-12
Colors – K-12: Solid black, khaki, or navy blue
• Belts must be worn with dress pants or slacks.
• Pants and shorts must fit and be worn at the waist. No underwear is to be exposed.
• No oversized or tight pants. Leggings may only be worn with appropriate skirts/dresses.
• No jeans, denim, or athletic (sweat suits, fleece, etc) fabrics.
• Shorts, skirts, and dresses cannot be higher than 2” above the knee in the front and back.
• No pajamas are to be worn during the school day.
Accessories/Other Items K-12:
• Shoes, boots, or tennis shoes must be worn at all times and must have a back or a strap around the heel.
• Jewelry is permissible as long as it is not excessive, large, bulky, or flashy.
• All hats, beanies, skull caps, bandanas, stocking caps, do-rags, shower bonnets or any other head-gear may not be worn in the building (the only headgear exemption is for religious ceremony attire).
• No sunglasses or dark glasses are to be worn in the building.
• No outerwear such as gloves, full or fingerless, may be worn in the building.
• Pajamas and slippers are prohibited.
